Impacts
The California Gold Rush changed California for ever. The Native American living there in the first place were harshly removed from their land for mining purposes. Many Indians who did not move were forcibly moved and some murdered. When the gold grew scarcer many of the gold miners blamed the Chinese miners for the golds rarity. The Chinese then faced harsh discrimination. Taxes were made to the Chinese and other foreigners to make them leave.
